DC Half Marathon = TAP fundraising!

An early morning indeed for our student volunteers at the annual DC Half Marathon! Led by our At Large Director, Kristen Shattuck, we sent 16 volunteers (and more students than adults!) to run a water station along the race course. Many thanks to the students, both Theatre Arts students and NHS students, for getting up way before the crack of dawn to support the more than 10,000 runners!

Our station was adjacent to the Kennedy Center along Rock Creek Parkway. The day started at 5:00 am, with the race wrapping up around 10:00 am. Because we went a troupe of volunteers, the DC Half Marathon is donating $800 to the Yorktown Theatre Arts Program. We are excited to partner with them!
