About Us

Yorktown High School’s highly regarded Theatre Arts program is committed to excellence and community.

We are dedicated to teaching all aspects of theatre, including acting, directing, playwrighting, and all parts of technical theatre.

Students gain essential skills no matter what career they end up in. These include collaboration skills and a group-think mindset, clear communication, confidence in public speaking, and a community of equally dedicated and passionate individuals to belong in.

Finally, Yorktown produces two highly anticipated Mainstage shows a year that all students can audition for (Fall Play and Spring Musical) and a One Act Festival that is entirely Theatre Arts student-run, with many student leadership opportunities.
